Improving tax agent support: We are at the table
The NTAA is proud to continue working alongside the Inspector-General of Taxation and Taxation Ombudsman ('IGTO'), Ruth Owen, the ATO, and other professional bodies as part of the IGTO's review into the ATO's registered agent phone line.
Crucially, this also includes a review of the related ATO support for tax agents and their clients, specifically focusing on client-agent-linking ('CAL').
We have been actively representing the views of our members in ongoing discussions related to this important review, and we heard you loud and clear.
Your feedback and submissions have reinforced the critical importance of this support line to your day-to-day work and highlighted the urgent need for meaningful improvements.
We are committed to developing practical solutions that make a tangible difference for tax professionals.
